Laborlore - The Cultures of Icelandic Workers

All photographers were made at the Hannesarholt cultural center where masons and other workers have been remodeling the house and wall, and building an addition. The three workers featured in the photograph are all master masons, skilled at working with concrete, brick, tile, and stone, and with coating, sealing, and otherwise finishing the work they do.

James P. Leary photographed and interviewed the masons.
